Volunteers use the Culper iOS app to walk their assigned routes, capture survey responses at the door, and submit follow-ups — all from their phone.

Download

Download on the App Store The app requires iOS 16 or later.

Logging in

  1. Open the app
  2. Enter the email and password from your volunteer invite
  3. Select your campaign from the list
  4. You’ll see your assigned walks immediately
Volunteers must be added to the campaign by a manager before they can log in. See Adding Team Members.

Starting a walk

  1. Tap a walk from the Walks tab
  2. Review the route on the map
  3. Tap Start Walk (or Set Starting Point to begin from a specific stop)
  4. The app shows your GPS position and the nearest unvisited stop

At each door

The stop detail screen shows: Household card — everyone at the address with name, age, party, and issue chips (Pro Trump, Border Security, 2nd Amendment, etc.) Tap a household member’s name to see their full voter detail: political ideology, voting history, religion, income bracket, and all issue positions. Actions:
What you seeWhat to tap
Someone answersYes — someone is home
Nobody homeNobody home

If someone is home

  1. The app asks Who came to the door? — tap the person’s name
  2. Complete the survey questions for that person
  3. If you spoke with others too, tap Also spoke with
  4. Submit and move to the next stop

If nobody is home

Choose a follow-up action:
  • Leave door hanger — marks that a door hanger was left (one per household)
  • Send SMS — sends a campaign text to the household’s primary number (requires A2P setup)
  • Mark and move on — no follow-up

The Script button

Tap Script at any point to see the campaign talking points. The script is pre-filled with the voter’s name and address. It’s always available — you don’t have to be at a specific step to access it. Tap Navigate on the next-stop card to open Apple Maps with walking directions to the next address.

Offline mode

The app caches your walk data when you open it. If you lose cell signal mid-walk, you can continue knocking — responses are queued locally and sync when you reconnect.

Completing a walk

The app marks the walk complete automatically when all stops are visited. Or tap End Walk to finish early. Your results sync to the dashboard immediately.
